Alexander Bornstein was born in Burbank, CA on January 15, 1986. He lived there for several years before re-locating to Pennsylvania in 1989, and finally Florida in 2001. Alexander began making movies at the age of seven and since moving to Florida, started to pursue writing and directing. After high school, he enrolled at the University of Central Florida and wrote/directed short films for classes and regional contests like E-Incubator’s “Collaboration” and the “O36 Video Race”—the latter of which won Alexander’s team several awards for the 2006 competition. He also wrote the original musical score for a low budget feature shot in the Orlando area and participated in an internship program with Panavision Florida. “The Roman” is his latest film, and was produced over the summer and fall of 2006.

Roman Mackey is a contract hitman who has been trying to get out of the business. Begrudgingly, he accepts a job that sends him into suburbia to kill Dave; someone allegedly stealing money from Roman’s boss. However, when he arrives his target is nowhere to be found and ends up eating dinner with Dave’s family. After striking up a conversation with Dave’s son about fishing, Roman finds himself trying to decide whether he should follow through with the bloody assignment.
