I just finished doing the animation/editing for Lauren Simpson's Motion City Soundtrack video and I'm really, REALLY excited to have been a part of that project. Check it out on the MTVU site!!!
Something's wrong with my brain because I enjoy making stop-motion animation one painstaking frame at a time. I started out in junior high making claymation monster movies on 16mm, but then got distracted by live-action filmmaking (zombie movies on a friend's camcorder), and studio art. For the last three years I've been learning the technical skills involved in 3D animation and I've been getting back into stop-motion on the side. I grew up in Saint Paul, MN... I did my undergrad in upstate New York at Union College, majoring in Visual Art and Computer Science... and now I'm in Texas finishing up a masters in Visualization Science at the Texas A&M Viz Lab. I'm moving to San Francisco, CA in July.
