1. What is Best Film on Campus

Best Film on Campus gives student filmmakers the opportunity to share their work, gain exposure, and be recognized for their filmmaking skills by entering contests and winning exclusive prizes that could only be offered by mtvU.

2. How do I upload a film?

You must create a profile. You can click on the For Filmmaker tab on the navigation bar.

3. Can I create a profile if Im not a college student?

You must be a full-time or part-time student in college/university and over the age of 17.

4. Is there a limit to the size of a video file that can be uploaded?

Yes, video files cannot be larger than 200MB.

5. Is there a limit to the number of films I can have on my profile?

No.

6. How do I remove a film?

In your Profile Manager, go to Content Manager. Under Your Films, select the film you wish to remove and click the edit button. Click the remove button at the bottom of the page.

7. How do I get featured as Most Popular, Highest Rated, and Most Recent

Most Popular are those films that have been viewed the most by other users. Highest Rated are those films that users have rated among the best. Encourage everyone you know to check out and rate your work and you could be featured. Most Recent are those films that have recently been added to the Best Film On Campus website.

8. How do I get my film to be featured as the Film of the Week? How can I become the featured filmmaker?

Each week our production team picks the most deserving film; the more you upload the better your chances are to receive this accolade. All films from the filmmakers that have opted into this ongoing contest will be considered each week; it is not a requirement to be a new film.

9. My school and/or local newspaper wants to write a story about me what do I do?

E-mail us. We'll be happy to put you in touch with our press team.

10. I am having problems with my profile and uploading, what can I do?

Please send an e-mail describing your problem to us.

11. Why did I get a message saying my account is active if it's still not visible?

All content must be reviewed by mtvU. Your account can be active for you to begin submitting content but will not be visible or live until it has been approved.

12. I forgot my password; can it be resent to me?

Click here or email us so we can reset and email you a new temporary password.

13. I need my activation code sent again.

Click here and enter your email address under the section "SEND ME A NEW ACTIVATION EMAIL" to have your activation code resent.
